As much as I dislike cats, I’ve never been a fan of the phrase, “There’s more than one way to skin a cat.” It’s unnecessarily grisly when you could just say “There’s more than one way to do anything.” Simple and gets the job done. You know that you can read a book and get value out of it. However, there’s something about getting together with people and discovering together. Community is close to the heart of God and the Jesus First, Jesus Always Small Group Curriculum is one of the ways you can create community. In this six-week study, I investigate a few of the concepts touched on in the book including Jesus being first in existence, first in priority, always in everything, always in eternity, and more. I know that this study has the potential to bring people together in a safe space and open a dialogue about Jesus in our everyday lives.
If you’d like to get the Jesus First, Jesus Always Study Guide, please visit Amazon (link to http://a.co/d/1CZGOKy)to order the companion booklet. The videos for each session can be found at vimeo.com/pastorjeffreysmith.
In addition, please consider speaking to the small groups pastor or director at your church about how we can partner with you to host this study church-wide. I really believe that in a small group setting, this book will come alive even more and generate faith-filled conversations that will deepen godly friendships and sharpen your walk of faith.
